April 2019 Top HVAC Stories
Here’s the roundup with links for further research.
It’s a Good Time to Buy
Spring is considered the “off season” for HVAC sales.
And that makes it a good time to buy. But what if your AC, heat pump or furnace isn’t broken? We’re fans of pre-emptive replacement for systems that are 15+ years old or have already had major repair issues.
Why? Because replacing your equipment when it’s running means you have time to research top brands and models, shop around for the best pricing, and remove the risk that your old equipment is going to break down during a sweltering stretch of summer, leaving you sweating for days waiting for repair or replacement.
Most HVAC dealers don’t have two pricing schemes – one for peak and one for off season. But they are more inclined to offer discounts and deals. There will be more room to negotiate a better price.
This post from a well-respected HVAC contractor discusses the issue in detail.
