Rheem
Rheem Manufacturing company was founded in the 1920s by brothers Richard and Donald Rheem who purchased a galvanizing plant in San Francisco, California. About ten years later, they opened a water heater manufacturing plant in near Los Angeles. By 1950, this HVAC company was distributing their products of space heating units for homes, oil furnaces and air conditioners coast to coast. Today, Rheem Air Conditioning Division is located in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The Rheem Classic XIV High Efficiency air conditioning model, has a SEER of 14.00 which is in the midst of the highest available. It’s considerably higher than today’s standard models which usually carry SEER’s of around 10. Rheem also offers a large variety of air conditioners that features earth friendly R-410A refrigerant which replaces the traditionally used R-22 refrigerant which has been researched and proven to be detrimental to the earth’s ozone layer.
Other features of Rheem products are louvered steel cabinets which protect the coils and grill designs that minimize air restriction which makes the fan operate quieter. Rheem products boast of a ‘highly advanced’ scroll compressor which is renowned as a leader in reliability and quiet operation. This keeps the compressor from working harder than it needs to while producing a comfortable residential or commercial environment.
Much like other HVAC companies, Rheem has a partnership with Energy Star which ensures that when you purchase their products you are buying the most energy efficient merchandise on the market. Rheem ensures that their products reduce energy use and air pollution while saving their customers money.
Throughout the years, Rheem Manufacturing has begun to distribute a full line of products for residential and commercial use and offers sales, service and parts distribution to make sure their customers are 100% satisfied.
