This overview of Bryant HVAC systems will inform you of your options for standard split systems and package units. Furnaces, heat pumps and central air conditioners are used in split systems, while package units have all components in a single package.

Bryant has been in business for more than 100 years. Charles Bryant began the company in 1904 as the Natural Gas Regulator Company. Soon, the brand was making heating equipment, and when air conditioning technology become available for residential use, Bryant was at the forefront of innovation and design.

Bryant Residential HVAC Equipment

This manufacturer makes a complete lineup of heating, cooling and ventilation equipment for your home.

  • Gas and oil furnaces
  • Central air conditioners
  • Heat pumps (Standard and Dual Fuel)
  • Air handlers
  • Air filtration and purification equipment
  • Thermostats and controls

Bryant HVAC Series

Like many of the leading HVAC manufacturers, Bryant makes several series of equipment in a good/better/best scenario. Here’s a look at Bryant’s product lineup.

Bryant Evolution: These are high-efficiency, high-performance units are among the best in the industry. Furnaces feature modulating and two-stage heating and variable-speed blowers. Heat exchangers come with lifetime limited warranties. Heat pumps and air conditioners offer 2-stage heating and cooling. Ten-year warranties cover compressors and most other functional parts.

Bryant Preferred: This second-best series competes with lines like the Lennox Elite, American Standard Gold, Rheem Classic and sister-brand Carrier’s Performance Series.  Most units, except for 80% furnaces, are Energy Star rated. These are, for the most part, 2-stage components that offer more precise climate control and balanced temperatures than single-stage equipment.

Bryant Legacy: These units still offer 10-year warranties, and many of them are Energy Star qualified. Most offer single-stage heating and cooling that doesn’t offer great premium indoor comfort, but it does reduce cost.  Expect 15-20 years of service from these units with regular maintenance.

Bryant HVAC Reviews

Our goal is to review every Bryant heating and cooling component including packaged units. We have dozens of Bryant HVAC reviews for you to research, and when Bryant comes out with a new product, we bring it to your attention.

Each review includes prices that reflect an average. Prices may differ in your area based on the level of dealer competition and the cost of living. The time of year may also affect the cost estimates you receive. Estimates are higher when contractors are busiest in the height of summer and winter.

We suggest getting at least 3 written estimates and choose a qualified contractor with a reputation for excellence. The service offered on this page uses pre-screen contractors certified by the brand you want. There is no obligation or fee for the service.
