Choosing your Bryant Packaged HVAC System

While air conditioner packaged units are only used where heat is already present or not needed, the other three types have a wide range of application. Gas/electric models are the most affordable and still the most popular. Heat pump systems are catching up because of the economical operating costs compared to gas. They work very well in all but the coldest climates.

If you live where winter temperatures are often below freezing, you’ll need either a gas pack or a dual fuel system. Your budget and how long you plan to spend in the home will be factors. While a hybrid heat/dual fuel system is most expensive, it will produce the lowest fuel bills. The payback period for spending more on a dual fuel package will be 4-10 years depending on your climate.

If you’ve got questions about which system makes the best sense for your home or building, a qualified contractor in your area who handles Bryant products will be able to help. And if your circumstances don’t require a packaged unit, see our HVAC reviews for a list of Bryant heat pumps, ACs and furnaces that make outstanding heating and cooling split systems.
