Carrier Gas Furnace Reviews

Carrier, a company that was founded in 1902, offers a wide variety of gas furnaces that rely on the most sophisticated technology available. They combine the practicality of heating with gas with top energy efficiency. Each of Carrier’s furnaces has an AFUE rating of 80 or higher. The term “AFUE rating” refers to the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency of the furnace. The AFUE rating lets you know how much of the energy being expended is actually being converted to heat. For instance, a rating of 80 means 80% of the energy is converted to heat while the other 20% escapes in the form of a gas. The higher that rating is, the lower your monthly utility bills will be.

Carrier Infinity 80 Gas Furnace
This furnace has an AFUE of 80 and uses Carriers “Infinity System” technology. This technology provides you with an easy way to program your heat and air-conditioning so that your home always has your ideal temperature, level of humidity, and air quality. The Infinity technology even allows you to control your temperature settings via the Internet when you are not home.

Carrier Performance Boost 90
This furnace’s AFUE rating is 90 and at times can work up to 93% efficiency. It uses Carrier’s “Comfort Heat Technology”, which predicts the need for heat in your home. This enables the furnace to cut swings in temperature by 50%. The Performance Boost 90 also has pilot-free ignition.

Carrier Infinity 96 Gas Furnace!
This is one of Carrier’s most energy efficient furnaces, with an AFUE rating of 95. A furnace this efficient means that 95% of the money you pay for fuel bills is actually used to heat your home. It is also pilot-free. As with all of the Carrier furnaces mentioned here, the Performance 95 has a 10-year limited warranty on the parts.
